British Hanger Sword 1775-1785. Ebony grip with silver wire. Faceted pommel and front guard. Rare slotted hilt. The 66cm blade with a wide and narrow fuller. Overall length 85cm. Very similar sword can be seen on page 112, no. 152.5 of Swords and Blades of the American Revolution, by George Neumann. Some nicks to the blade.
