The engraved blade marked Germany, and Horstmann Philadelphia. The scabbard engraved "Presented to Adjutant Chas. F. Lumb by Co. C State Fencibles N.G.P. JNY 1897". Chrome scabbard with brass fittings. Brass hilt with wire bound fish skin grip.
